Can't create user - Username for social already exists

0 votes
I created a user and sucessfully linked that user to a facebook account using socialService.linkUserFacebookAccount(), afterwards I deleted the user (deleted permanently) and then when i try to recreate the user with the same name, I receive an exception (httpErrorCode 400, appErrorCode 2001) with details "The request parameters are invalid. Username 'XXXXXXXX'  for social already exists", even if the user with that name was deleted already. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks.

Currently if user is linked with social service there is no way to de-link it. We are putting this up in the AppHQ release coming next week (before 5th March). We will also add this in API too.

If this is something that is roadblock for you and you can not proceed without it, you have to drop an email  to delink it from backend. You can send it to me at ajay.tiwari@shephertz.com mentioning your appname, api key and users that you want to delink.
