Push notification tutorial for android is deprecated?

I am following your tutorial  about using the push notification and your sample is using deprectaed jar file of GCM (Android). I believe the current model use google play services. For example this class GCMRegistrar is deprecated.

Are you planning to update that?

Yes, We will update the Sample soon with new API.

You can also customize our sample with new GoogleCloudMessagingAPI, by implementing GCM Client on your own side.
