EventService or LoggingService

0 votes
Hello

If I want to track if a certain button was clicked in my app. Do I use the EventService or the LoggingService? I saw both being used in the documentation as part of the analytics and I am not sure which one to be used.

Also do they show the user information as I really want to see how many users clicked button x

Thanks

Hi Folk,

You can go for EventService for analytics. You can achieve different goals using it in your application like :

  • See different analytics on dashboard like graphs and charts.
  • You can filter your events based on event properties.
  • You can see DAU/WAU/MAU (Active users).
  • Segment Users
  • See live stats.
  • Create campaign and take action to engage users and much more.

So I will suggest you to use EventService and do your app marketing and analytics in a better way.

Let me know if more queries are concern.

Thanks & Regards

Thanks but I am referring to tracking button click specifically. Is the event service still the right one?
If you want to save logs only then you can go for LoggingService. But If you want to see some analytics then I would prefer EventService. Eventually its based on your use-cases.
