mySQL migrate to App42 Cloud

0 votes
Hi, i have an android and ios application which is getting bigger and i would like to migrate it to app42 cloud. I currently use mySQL with php services for all the data stored in the database. I wan't to import the mySQL database to my app in App42. I tried going to Storage - JSON - Import and selecting a .json file which has my data, but the system upload it as a file and not as a collection. Is there a tutorial on how to migrate from mysql to app42? Thank you

So i will be answering my own question:)

It seems that when i have escape characters in my dataset, the import crashes.

I had several \'s in my db. After removing them, it works perfectly.

Hi Leo,

Could you please share your JSON file with us on support@shephertz.com? So that we can see why your data is not imported into a collection. It will help us to provide better support to you.

P.S In order to import your JSON file, you need to follow some steps which is explained in this blog post
