Which services offered GPaaS, PaaS or GPaaS?

Hi we developing an app which has real-time multiplayer game play with your AppWarp s2 services. The app is similar to the QuizUp app on Android and iOS.

This is an early enquiry and here are a couple of questions we have:

We want our AppWarp s2 server to be able to communicate with a NoSql database (EG one of your add on services)

The database will conatin around 20,000 questions to begin with, the s2 server will then broadcast the questions to our app during game play including if they got the question right or wrong and announce the winner after 10 rounds.

The s2 server will also need to communicate with additional ad-on services such as buddy, social networks, leaderboards, achievements and update these accordingly etc.

1) We are looking at hosting the NoSql database (MongoDB with JSON) but unsure which service? EG PaaS, GPaaS or BPaaS.

Which would we need to host the AppWarp S2 server and our compatable NoSql (MongoDB)?

2) If we later decided to switch from PaaS to BPaaS, for example, is this possible?

Hi,

App42 PaaS is our Platform as a Service. PaaS can host a Java, PHP, Ruby, etc applications and MySQL, MonogoDB, etc databases.

GPaaS is a specialised version of PaaS for hosting AppWarp S2 server. BPaaS is a specialised version of PaaS for hosting App42 Cloud server.

Since AppWarp S2 is nothing but a Java Application, you can use any service that supports Java platform even App42's services.
